Data Access
Data submitted to ARCHIMEDES will be made available either as Open Access or through a Controlled Access tier.
The access level selected by the data contributor must be based on the authorizations associated with the data. This includes providing an appropriate ethical and legal justification for sharing, such as research participant consent, an ethics waiver of informed consent, or other applicable legal authority for data release
Currently, data is shared through two access tiers:
Open Access đ
Data is publicly available through ARCHIMEDES.
- No account is required to view or use Open Access data
- Users must agree to the Terms of Use before accessing the data
- The Terms require that data is used only for research purposes and in compliance with ethical, legal, and governance requirements
Controlled Access đ
Data is available only to authorized users.
- Users must create an account and submit a Data Access Request (DAR) for the data they need
- The request is reviewed by the Data Access Committee (DAC)
- The DAC verifies the applicant and approves or denies access
âšī¸ Note: Only Principal Investigators (PIs) can submit DARs.
âĄī¸ Coming Soon
A third tier, Registered Data Access, will be introduced in a future phase of the platform.
